COVID-19 was one of the biggest health threats our world faced in December 2019. The first cases of respiratory infection were reported in China. They were characterized by severe disease progression with lung complications such as pneumonia. Chinese experts identified the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 and called it SARS-CoV-2. The infection starts off with mild flu-like symptoms making diagnosis much more difficult.
